The Arthritis Canada website represents the partnership of The Arthritis Society and the Canadian Rheumatology Association. This site shares current, comprehensive and practical information and strategies to help people with arthritis maximize their quality of life, and to help healthcare professionals working in the field of arthritis to keep abreast of the latest in management techniques for arthritic disease. The Arthritis Society section of the site provides descriptions of the many types of arthritis, information on medication, surgery, diet and exercise, Canadian statistics on arthritis, and information to help increase awareness among the public about arthritis. The Canadian Rheumatology Association provides information for healthcare professionals on current treatments and management techniques, and information on research in progress in the field of rheumatology. Continuing Medical Education programs are featured here, as are newsgroups to support communication between members of the Association. Arthritis Canada is not meant to replace the care and advice of healthcare professionals and it cannot be the final source of information on arthritis.
